Jayden is an environmental engineer and scientist with experience across industry, consulting, and academic roles. His research focuses on ecologically responsible mining to fuel the transition to clean energy. He is currently a PhD Candidate at Griffith University studying the environmental effects of deep-sea mining to inform how we manage and monitor the health of marine ecosystems. Jayden will soon commence his post-doctoral research at the University of Queensland to investigate global mine expansion under alternative energy futures and identify strategies to conserve biodiversity and sustain ecosystem services.
